Hi, I’m Michelle.
I am a chiropractor, author, teacher, holistic healer, podcast host, unshakable optimist, speaker and the founder of Your Wellness Connection. Every day I meet people who truly want to feel better. They want to enjoy their existence and not merely “make it through another day.”
I believe that we all deserve to live a vibrant, happy and healthy life. I also know that we all have the power to create that life for ourselves.
For twenty five years, I have helped people create small changes that ultimately shift their habits and their life.
Today, I would like to help you get started on this journey.
But first, I want to tell you a little bit about how this all began…
Like most chiropractors I started out with a small practice, myself and a chiropractic assistant. Over time I began to build and partner with other healing and wellness practitioners and teachers. Eventually I built a beautiful facility to house this integrative healing center, which I named Your Wellness Connection (a wellness partnership). Those who work with us have access to not only chiropractic, but Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, massage therapy, counseling, wellness and nutrition coaching, colon hydrotherapy, infrared sauna, movement classes, nutrition classes, and more.
In 1997, after practicing as a doctor of chiropractic medicine for five years, I began to ask myself, “Is this all there is to life?” I was carrying around significant unresolved pain. Like many people, I’d had a challenging upbringing. My mother and father got divorced before I was born and my biological father died when I was 8, before I had a chance to get know him. My first stepfather suffered from alcoholism. I have no memory of a time that my mother was not sick. And because we moved every couple of years when I was a child, I never had any sense of belonging.
Though outwardly I was a successful doctor and businesswoman, during moments when I was completely honest with myself, I had to face the truth that something wasn’t working. I was helping others be well, but I didn’t feel truly well. I knew that I could no longer live the way I had been living. I called my minister and asked for help.
My search for help and healing led me in October 1997 to the Hoffman Process, an eight-day experience that helped me identify my negative thought and belief patterns and replace them with positive ones. This was a pivotal point in my journey.
It was through that process that I learned being well is not the absence of disease. It is the flourishing of the whole being – mind, body and spirit.

No one is perfect. We all are on a wellness journey, a continuum of well-being. I strive to help my clients and all those I touch through talks, writing, etc., to accept where they are on their journey and move forward, one decision, one small change at a time, understanding the holistic nature of wellness, intertwining their mind, body and spirit to reach their goals.
